Course Description:
The Certificate Course in Primary Care Radiology is designed to equip primary care physicians with the knowledge and skills to effectively interpret radiological images for common clinical conditions. The course covers the basics of chest and abdominal radiography, the radiology of normal anatomy, and imaging for various disorders in the chest, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, bones, and soft tissues. It also includes key insights into antenatal ultrasound, interventional radiology, and advanced techniques for imaging the head, neck, and dental areas.
The course emphasizes an integrated approach to radiology, providing clinicians with the necessary tools to make informed decisions in diagnosing and managing patients. Course Content:
• Module 1: Basics of Chest X-ray, Abdominal Radiography, and Modern Radio-imaging.
• Module 2: Radiology of the Normal Chest and Chest Disorders, Chest Pain or Mediastinal Masses, Pulmonary Infections, Tumors, and Diffuse Lung Diseases.
• Module 3: Plain Abdominal Radiography, Conventional Radiology of the Gastrointestinal Tract, Contrast Studies, and Congenital Abnormalities of the GIT.
• Module 4: Radiology of the Urinary Tract, Radiology in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Contrast Studies, and Radiation Protection.
• Module 5: Radiology for Tumors and Infections in Bones, Musculoskeletal Imaging, and Trauma.
• Module 6: Chest and Mediastinum Imaging, and Metabolic and Bone Disorders in Pediatrics.
• Module 7: Basics of Antenatal Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology.
• Module 8: An Integrated Approach to Orbit and Sinus Imaging in Head, Neck, and Dental Radiology.

Eligibility Criteria:
Medical graduates (MBBS) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice or primary care, particularly those involved in patient diagnosis and management.
